10 Things About Me

 Hello Everyone!
I have seen this post floating around the internet for a while now so I decided to give it a whirl. I thought I'd struggle to think of any facts but was actually surprisingly easy to put together so here we go...

I Sleep Talk
I found this out when I shared a hotel room with my Mum, apparently I never shut up the whole night. The thing is, it's not your usual nonsense mumblings- I have full on clear conversations and laugh out loud.

I Have Very Varied Music Taste
I have always loved music but I didn't realise how varied my music taste was until my friend, who was scrolling through my iPod when I was about 15 pointed out that I have the album of both Nikki Minaj and Regina Spektor! At the moment my fave artists are Ed Sheearn, Imagine Dragons and Regina Spektor.

I'm Really Lucky at Competitions
I always have been quite lucky at comps and often win just from pure luck- my Mum is the same, it must run in the family!

I Play Guitar and a Some Piano
I have been playing guitar for 2 years now and I love it. I also play a bit of piano. I had piano lessons at school when I was in year 5 and 6- the school let students to do piano lessons on a Wednesday in place of a 2 hour maths lesson and in all honesty, I just wanted to get out of maths and had no heart in learning to play piano, however now I wish I had practiced more because I would love to be able to play piano properly now.

I'm Quite Shy and Quiet
I'm quite a quiet person, especially with people I don't know. I am training to be a hairdresser (which ofcourse requires you to talk to people) at the moment and have sort of learned to act confident in a 'hairdressing situation' however, when I'm meeting new people or doing something new, I get really nervous and anxious.
This blog has helped a lot as it's been an outlet for my thoughts and feelings- it's easy to talk about things here and the comments you lot leave are always so kind : )

I've Never Been on a Plane/ Out of Europe
I went to Germany with school when I was 12 (on a ferry and coach- yea, that was not-so-fun) But I've never been on a plane or out of Europe. When I'm older I would love to travel, and I especially want to visit the USA and Australia.

When I'm older, I Want Lots of Children
Not any time soon, but I definitely want my own little family with lots of kids- I'm not talking '19 kids and counting' but more of a '3 or 4 kids and counting' -doesn't really have the same ring to it, meh.

I Have OCD
I have had OCD for as long as I can remember- when I was 6, I went through a phase of tapping everything 6 times-the door, the table, the phone- I don't even know how it started but I remember that if I didn't do it, I would get anxious... fast forward 12 years and I'm a perfectionist, everything has to be tidy and neat and 'just so' I also find myself subconsciously counting things- especially when I'm nervous- I'm totally aware that I sound crazy, but I'm not (promise)

I Never go to Clubs/ Bars
A few of my friends do love to go out on Saturday and that's fine but it's just not for me- I'm like an old lady haha give me some comfy pj's and coronation street any day! I often joke that I will be content with life at age 80 when it's socially acceptable to stay in drink tea XD Either that or I will live life the opposite way around and be that grandma that parties with the youngsters every weekend.

                                                         I Sing all the time
Around the house that is- not like when I'm on my own strolling around town, that would look a little crazy haha. I also find that songs often stay in my head for DAYS on end, especially if it is a song I like.

So there are my 10 facts about me, if you've done this over on your blog, let us know in the comments- I've loved reading other peoples 10 things post so far!

Hope you enjoyed reading this,

Lush Haul!

Hello Everyone!

For a while now, I have been wanting to treat myself to some Lush goodies. Normally, I would buy a batch of bath bombs and a few bubble bars but this time I wanted to try something new.

I almost always order the items online. I really don't like going into the shop, it's not because of the scent of all the bath bombs together-I love that! I think it's because some of the shop assistants are sometimes a little pushy and always try to sell you extra products and I can't say no to them (my fault, I know) and I end up leaving with loads of items and no money.

I also love shopping from Lush online because Number one- the website is really cool and shows a short video of what happens when each bath bomb hits the water and number two- there are lots of reviews that have been left by real shoppers which is handy for when you want an honest opinion about a product/item before parting with your hard earned cash.

So, I picked up...

♥ Cupcake Face Mask- I have wanted to try this for a while and after reading a review that sang its praises I decided I'd give it a whirl. I'm going to be honest about the scent, I'm not a fan, however it isn't by any means bad- just not to my cup of tea. I have used it a few times and have noticed the day after use, my skin has looked clearer so it was still worth buying :)

♥ Lip Service Lip Balm- I had this lip balm a while back and had forgotten how fab it is! I suffer from very sore, dry lips (especially in winter) and this is the only balm that will soften and rejuvenate them.

♥ Volcano Foot Mask- This is another one with an 'iffy' scent but I can say it is a very fitting scent for feet. I used this after a long day at work and it was bliss- it was tingly and cooling and when I rinsed it off, my feet felt so soothed.

♥ Helping Hands Hand Cream- This one doesn't really have a scent it's quite neutral. I found this was one of the best hand creams I've ever used. It cured my cracked hands overnight (literally) I put this on and some cotton gloves and leave it on overnight- but it sinks in really fast so could be used on the go too. A little goes a long was and to round it up in one- it's fab!

And the 3 freebies I received were- Fair Trade Foot Lotion, Gorgeous Face Moisturizer and Lemmony Flutter Cuticle Butter.

I might do some reviews (with pictures) on these products individually in the future.
Let me know in the comments what your favorite items from Lush are :)

Home Corners- Wardrobe

Hello Lovelies!
Since my first home corners post received such a good response, I decided to continue the mini tours with a tour of my wardrobe. I had a bit of a spring clean so everything is now neat and tidy (let's hope I can keep it this way :P)

So, this is my wardrobe and I got it from Argos a few years back, it is pretty basic but I tried to jazz it up a bit by changing the handles (which were originally dull silver plastic) and adding the little wicker heart for decoration.
On top of it is my jewellery box (it's too big for my dressing table so has to sit up there) and a box that I bought from Tesco last year, this houses all my spare blankets.

The crystal handles are only from quality save (B and M sell them too) but I think they are really pretty and were super cheap. They also look lovely when the sun shines on them as they reflect lots of different colors

This is the inside of the wardrobe. I usually store all my Winter clothes in here and my Summer clothes away in drawers or vice versa but as we're in April, and the weather in England is pretty unpredictable, there is currently a mix of the two.

Now onto the drawers
The first drawer is all my pajamas/ onesies. I saw on Pinterest that storing them like this saves space and I have found it is easier to keep the drawer tidy this way.

The second drawer is all of my socks- yes a drawer specifically allocated for socks. I didn't realize how many socks I owned until I sorted my wardrobe out. I got rid of all the socks that lost their other half in the wash. Mental note: stop buying socks (even if they are on sale in primark :S)

And the final drawer is a 'bits and bobs' drawer so I put the random things in here like my swimming cozzies, lint rollers, belts, handbag and oh- more socks.

So here's hoping I can keep it all tidy from now on. I hope you enjoyed reading about my little spring clean.
Next in home corners will be doing a little tour of my dressing table including my makeup and nail polish : D

Primark Haul April 2015

Hello Lovelies!

I popped into Primark for a well needed shop and thought I'd show you the little gems I found!

First up is this leather look bowler bag. I have been wanting to buy a new bag for a while and thought that the gold hardware and blush colour of this one makes it super refreshing for Spring. I think it will be nice to use this for days out in Summer as there is plenty of room inside.
£10.00

I wasn't planning on buying any shoes but these flowery sandles caught my eye, then I realized that they matched the bag I'd picked up so I was sold!
£6.00

I love Primark bedding- I think it is really value for money, it feels good quality and stays smooth- ie no bobbles for ages. I currently have white bedding but didn't own a white fitted sheet so I was using a grey fitted sheet which was apart of another bedding set- as you can probably imagine, it didn't look great but now I have this, my bed looks fresh and snowy white!
£3.90

Since the weather has been getting warmer, I decided I'd pick up some comfy shorts just to wear around the house/ garden.
£2.50

I saw this top last time I was in Primark and I regretted not picking it up so when I saw it was still in stock I grabbed it. I love the crochet detail on the back and I think this could be dressed up with a floaty skirt or dressed down with some denim shorts. I think I'll get a lot of use from it in the Summer.
£4.00

These nail polish remover pots have been really popular of late and they usually retail for between £5 and £15 so thought this was worth a try for £1- I have used it twice since and it's fab and makes removing nail polish soooooo much easier and no longer a chore!
£1.00

I got these again! They were on offer for £2.50 this time. I like them because they're super thin and that means you can fit more clothes into your wardrobe- whooo :D
£2.50

Finally, I picked up these battery operated fairy lights. I wanted some that I could use in pictures on my blog as I think lights always make picture look 10 times better!
£2.50

Have you picked up any bargains form Primark recently?

P.s I have since been back to Primark and I have picked up a few more things so keep your eyes peeled for another little Primark haul very soon :D

Day In The Life

Hello Everyone!

Recently with this blog, I have been wanting switch it up a bit and write some different posts- ya know, something a little out of the norm of reviews and hauls. So I decided to do a day in the life.

Now before we start please be aware, I  definitely don't lead the most exciting life and this is very much a 'come along with me' day in the life, not a 'watch in amazement at the extravagant lifestyle I lead' type of post. However I hope you have fun reading and maybe (if you're a blogger too) this could inspire you to make your own day in the life post- I'd love to see other peoples days : )

So let's get started...

First thing to do is paint on my face...
This is pretty much my everyday makeup

I prepared my outfit the night before, I do this quite often- I folded them all nice for the picture, usually they are piled up on top of each other and resemble laundry

My Mum and I decided we'd go shopping. It was actually the hottest day of the year so far (only 18 Degrees Celsius) but that's a heatwave for us Brits

I didn't want to buy anything in particular but popped into Primark and may have picked up a couple of things... A Primark haul will be up very soon ; )

I always get a strong craving for a cup of tea after being out and about so I made a cup of twinings green tea and lemon and checked my emails and twitter

At about 3 o'clock, it was getting really warm outside so I popped into the garden and I noticed how all the plants change as we move towards spring.
I took a quick snap of these beautiful flowers

Then I decided to get started on some blog posts that I had planned for next week. I ended up finishing 3 posts- pictures and all whooo!

I've been loving Friday/ Saturday night TV of late and gogglebox has been a firm favorite for a while. We sat down to watch gogglebox and ate what's left of our Easter treats- mini eggs- yum! They should make these all year round.

After watching TV, I put my pajamas on and scrolled through Pinterest- if you like, you can follow me on Pinterest here  a sneaky little plug there :P

And finally, time for Lights out zzzzz

I hope you enjoyed this different little post,

A £1 Bargain! Squeeky Clean Scrubaholic Review

Hello Lovelies, it feels good to be back!

I've only been gone for just over a week but it feels like I have been away from this little blog for a bazillion years.

A few months back, I was on a tight budget and wanted a face wash that I could use to remove my makeup ( skin makeup- foundation, blusher/bronzer etc ) quickly.

I saw online that Poundland stocked perfectly clear and decided that I would pick some up as it was the cheapest face wash I could find, however whilst in Poundland, the squeeky Clean Scrubaholic Face Scrub caught my eye- the packaging reminded me of soap and glory and after a brief read of the tube, I decided I'd give it a go.

The scrub is made by the brand Creightons Plc and after checking out their website, I found out that the company has over 250 years experience in hair and beauty.

So onto the actual product.
It smells divine, it's fruity but not in a strong way- it's very mild kinda like strawberries and cream. The 'scrubbing particles' which resemble sugar are quite sparse so I wouldn't recommend this if you were specifically looking for an abrasive scrub however I like this as I can use it everyday and know that I'm not stripping my skin.

After the scrub has been rinsed off, there is a creamy film left on the skin which feels really moisturizing. The lovely scent also lasts for a quite while and my Mum actually complimented me on how nice I smelled an hour after I used this :D

All in all, I think this scrub is a bargain for £1 and I will be stocking up next time I'm in Poundland!

Have you found any bargains in Poundland? Let us know in the comments and we can all be thrifty together :P
