It's a LUSH Haul !

Hello Daydreamers

Today's post is going to be a Lush haul!
(Fun fact, my first ever blog post was actually a Lush Christmas bath haul)
I've noticed that Lush have been slowly but surely introducing new items to their range. I've also spotted that a few original items have changed and got a new formula.
I decided to treat myself to some lovely pastel-coloured sweet-scented delights because I simply couldn't resist!

I love to return home after a long day to a parcel filled with things like this!

So the first item that caught my eye was this Rose Jam Bubbleroon. It has had a makeover and now is shaped like a rose, it even has sparkles sprinkled over the top! The picture on the left is the old version of rose jam and I think the new one is a real improvement.
This has been a firm favourite of mine for a while. The item is now much bigger and more in vibrant colour, despite the change, the scent has remained the same. It contains rose oil and cocoa butter and smells sweet and fresh at the same time. Anyone who knows me will know that I loath the scent of roses but remarkably, I'm an avid fan of this scent and item, go figure!

The next beauty that caught my eye was one of the new items, Milky Bath. This is a milk bottle shaped bubble bar with a built-in bath melt. If you're an avid fan of Lush, you'll be able to liken the 'lid' of the milk bottle to the 'star light star bright bath melt' which is annually a part of the Christmas range. It smells super comforting and includes cocoa butter and orange oil. I'm looking forward to using this on a brisk autumnal evening!

Although butterball gives the bath no colour, it has actually been a firm favourite of mine for a long time. It's scented like vanilla and cocoa butter and it fills the bath with silky essential oils. When you step out of the bath, you skin is sooo soft, your skin feels smooth, looks sleek and you smell fab!

I've read many positive reviews on this item and decided I'd give it a whirl. It's solid bath melt which is wrapped in a muslin cloth. I will definitely be reviewing this one to let you know what I think of it.

This one is a bath bomb and is oh-so-beautiful. It fizzes away to leave 7 real rosebuds which float on the bath water. The scent is fresh and floral but not at all overpowering and the smell lasts on your skin for a while.

Now I'll be honest here, this one was a bit of an impulse buy. I had never tried any of Lush's dusting powders before and I was intrigued. When I read that this one is scented with cocoa butter and gives the skin a velvety soft finish to the skin, I just couldn't resist.

I was also a little intrigued with these little tabs of freshness!
There was a array of toothy tabs and I hadn't ever tried them out. Apparently, they're super refreshing and easy to use, these will definitely be on the 'reviews to write' list.

So there is is, my little Lush haul!

Oh I do love Lush :)

I'll be doing lots of Lush reviews in the near future!

Glitter Accessories- Homeware!

Hello Again Daydreamers!

Today it's a crafty post!

It's always fun to change up your home accessories to look Pinterest-perfect, so as we move into autumn I decided it would be fun to introduce a little bit of sparkle into my home.

Here's what I did!

Glitter Bunting with Fairy Lights

This one is actually super easy and can look so good, it's also easily customization.

 You'll need:
  • A string of fairy lights
  • Card
  • Glitter
  • Glue
  • Cotton/ Ribbon
Simply cut triangles out of the card, decorate with glitter, use the ribbon/cotton to attach the card to the fairy lights and there you have it!
This is also super cute because the lights reflect off of the glitter which means they'll twinkle!

Glitter Vase

This is another super easy one.
Simply apply glue and glitter onto the vase (or jam jar like mine- as ya do!)
Super simple yet super effective.

You'll need:
  • Glass vase
  • Glue
  • Glitter

Glitter Candles

This one is very similar the the glitter vase above.
Apply sellotape to where you want the glitter to end and glue to where you want the glitter to be. Roll the candle in glitter and tap off the excess to be left with shimmery candles!
  • Candle
  • Glitter
  • Glue

Let me know in the comments how you like to give your home a little makeover for autumn!

Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Buttercream Review!

Heeeello Daydreamers, Happy Saturday!

Today's post is going to be a review on Soap and Glory's Smoothie Star Buttercream. I included this product in my August Favorites post because it's simply wonderful!

The first thing you'll notice about this product is the scent. It's buttery and sweet and creamy and delightful. I'm yet to find somebody who doesn't swoon the minute they smell it. I've also been complimented several times, the scent lasts on the skin for hours but it is't too overpowering, it's just lovely.

What makes this body buttercream special is that the formula is actually air whipped which allows the cream to be super light yet highly effective. It's super cool to the touch and glides onto the skin like a dream. It does not leave a greasy residue and sinks in almost immediately, leaving you with glossy, supple skin to be proud of!

On Soap and Glory's Website, they say:  "Want silky, sexy, famously soft skin? Rub elbows and knees with this luxurious, lightly whipped, super nourishing 5-oil deluxe body butter. Amazing on dry legs."

Some of the main ingredients in the buttercream are pistachio oil, almond oil, shea butter, cocoa butter and coconut oil. I'm sure that now you can understand why the scent is so delicious!

I bought this from Boots but I believe it can also be bought directly from the Soap and Glory website. It's currently priced at £10.00 which I think is a little on the pricey side for a body cream but trust me, it does wonders to the skin!

Are you a fan of Soap and Glory too?
Let me know in the comments if you've ever tried this product before : )

Autumn Makeup, Nails and Hair!

Merry Autumn Daydreamers!

As the fall season is well and truly here, I decided to show you lovely lot how I change up my look to follow the change in season. I find it so fun to begin experimenting with the burgundy and earthy tones which become oh-so-popular this time of year. I've noticed that, my nails, makeup and hair are all transformed to be autumn appropriate.

Autumnal Nails!
I always think that both burgundy and deep purple nails are excellent for autumn.
Wearing these rich tones is the perfect way to subtly exhibit autumn trends. My favourite Nail varnish's for the season of fall are Barry M 'red win' and Nails Inc 'Wigmore Street'

When we move into autumn, we're all in need of a little sparkle and as the months edge towards Christmas, the twinkly glitter becomes more and more prevalent. I'm particularly fond of applying glitter nail varnish in an ombre style. I first saw this technique on Pintrest and after trying it out myself and *cough, cough* nailing it, I've been sporting the look each autumn!

 Fun Fall Hairstyles!
Autumn is all about effortless chic hairstyles. Nobody goes for the 'perfect, neat hair' in autumn, it's all about working with your natural locks. Messy buns, loose curls and chunky plaits are all super fun for long autumnal walks and picnics in the park.
I've also been loving sweet hair accessories lately. I think they add a little something extra with minimal effort required!

Earthy Toned Makeup!
Come September, the pink lipsticks and rosy blushers get tucked away and the rich earthy toned makeup makes an appearance. My autumn must haves are:
  •  The Collection eyes uncovered nude palette (reviewed HERE)
  • Collection speedy blush in 'pinch me' (reviewed HERE)
  • Collection glam cystals eyeliner
  • MUA matte lipstick in 'scarlet siren'

Ahhh I do love autumn time.
It's not long now until we don out knitwear, dust cocoa over hot chocolates and settle down for good autumn time television!

I'd love to read of your autumn style must haves in the comments below.
Is there an item that you find yourself always going back to year after year?

Keeping Your Blog Organised! (Weekend Writers)

Hello Daydreamers!

In this weeks weekend writers, I'm making a post showing how I keep organized with my blog. I find that when everything is clear and in order, blogging is much more enjoyable so here are some of my favourite ways to keep organized!

Plan Monthy

I like to plan all my blog posts at the beginning of each month.
I make a new post and title it. Inside the post I make notes of the points I want to include, picture ideas, and a time frame in which I plan for the post to be published. I find that planning things this way, helps me to keep on track of upcoming/outstanding posts and also remember the initial ideas for each individual blog post.

Use a Notebook/Blog Planner

I'm yet to treat myself to a snazzy blog planner and at the moment, I'm enjoying using a simple notebook. I usually only write about all the initial post ideas in my notebook before moving the successful plans over to my blog.
At the moment, seasonal post ideas are filling my notebook and I have several pages packed full with Autumn goodies!

Take Pictures in Batches

I love taking pictures for my blog but I remember that it used to be a pretty lengthy process- setting up the correct lighting, arranging the items and then editing the picture to perfection. I have found that I've saved a lot of time since I began taking pictures in batches.

Pre-Write Sponsored/PR Posts

Unlike non-sponsored posts, when a brand is giving you something to review, there's often a deadline attached in the agreement. Prior to receiving the item, I like to research the product that they're sending me and write a post including things that I can comment on before actually trying the product out this includes things like the claims that the company makes, the popularity/ past reviews on the item and the companies history/other products; then when I receive the item, all I need to do is try it out and type up a paragraph about my opinion, take some pictures and the post is ready to go!

So I hope that these points come in handy for you in the near future, feel free to share any of your organization tips in the comments below :D

August Favourites!

Hello Daydreamers!

I'll start by saying that if you've not already entered, feel free to click here to be taken to my current giveaway (the link will open in a new tab so you'll still be able to read this post).
A company called Serenta Flowers are offering you lovely lot the chance to win a beautiful hamper filled with tea, jam, biscuits and chocolates. If you're already following this blog or any of my social media platforms, you're already half way there : )
There have been quite a lot of entries so far but I'd love for on of my followers to actually win so feel free to give it a whirl!

So, onto my August favourites!

I've loved a lot of new things this month.
My birthday is in August so I received and loved a lot new things.

The first item I've been using lots and loving is the China Glaze nail varnish in 'don't desert me'. I received this in the July box from coloristiq
which I wrote a post about here. I really love this polish, it's the perfect shade for this time of year and I also noticed how great its staying power is. It remained chip free for about 5 days and still looked pretty good after 7 days- an all round good-un!

The next item is also beauty-related. It's the Soap and Glory smoothie star body buttercream. I asked for this for my birthday and OhMyItSmellsSoGood!
I'm a big fan of anything from Soap and Glory but this really is the best. It works well at moisturising and the scent makes me actually want to moisturise which is always a benefit.

Another of my favourites is this notebook which is from Tesco. I have been using it so much that I just had to mention it. I'm a huge fan of stationary and just thought the colours and print were perfect! I've been jotting down 'to-dos' and 'blogging plans' and generally organizing my day to day life.

This Sleek mascara Lethal Length is my next favourite.
I actually feel quite bad about this one because back in March, I wrote a Sleek haul post and gave this a pretty meh review. After writing the review, I placed the mascara into my makeup drawer and forgot about it for a few months.
Last month, my other mascasra ran out so I decided to use this to 'tide me over' and I've been super impressed. It is a really rich black colour, catches all the lashes and dries to a rubbery texture- as opposed to a flaky feel. I really like this and I think I'll be repurchasing it and I'm unsure why my opinion has changed so drastically on this one.

My Mum picked this mug up from ASDA for my birthday I think it was more of a 'stocking filler' gift but I love the colour and this quote! I keep on getting excited for Autumn-time and in celebration of the new season, I may have made a few hot chocolates :P

And finally in my August favourites is the hair mask by Maria Nila that I wrote a glowing review about.
I said I'd include this in my monthly favourites because it really is amazing. If you'd like to read about what it does then click here for the full review which will open in a separate tab.

So there it is, my August favourites : )

I hope you enjoyed this post lovelies.
If you're also a blogger, feel free to link your Monthly favorites post below.
