Post Ideas For A Busy Blogger!

Hello Daydreamers!

Today's post is a post about posts!

I've noticed that sometimes when life takes over, blogs need to be placed on the back burner. For most of us, blogging is a hobby and when we have other priorities, the hobby is left abandoned until we find the time to make a new post- because as we all know how much time and effort goes into a blog post.

I thought I would make a list of quick and easy posts for when you are hard up on time!

♥  A day in the life post- This one can be an everyday day in the life like this one or a super extravagant day in the life. Either way, all you need to do is take pictures throughout the day and you have a post!
This one works as a picture only post or picture with captions like mine.

♥  An OOTD Post- Everyday you will inevitably wear an outfit- (at leist I hope you do haha) and all you need to do to is get somebody to take a few quick snaps of you and there's another post!

Current Favourite Shows/ Music- It's inevitable that you are loving a certain song at the moment or maybe you're just obsessed with that show on netflix. All you need to do is simply type up a list of what you are loving at the moment and why it's your new obsession. This type of post is like a mini review/ recommendation and I personally love reading them because I find it is a good way to discover new things.

♥  A Wishlist/ Future Plans/ Bucket List- Example here and here. When I'm traveling a lot, I often find that I daydream about things. I think it is because when I'm away from my desk and in a new place with new scenery, it's easier to think with a clear head. I like to take advantage of this new way of thinking and make notes on my phone to later type up into a list-style post.
Super quick, super easy and from the heart.

I hope this post comes in handy for some of you and if you have any other post ideas, I'd love you to write them down in a comment and we can all help each other out! : )

I have more of these blogging posts planned so do keep an eye out!

Thank you for reading lovelies

The Best Eyeshadow Palette!

Hi Daydreamers!

Recently, I've been really lucky on Twitter for 2 reasons...

I reached 800 followers- whaaaat- crazy, just crazy.

 ♥ I won a competition!

Lovely Nice host a blogger chat every Tuesday- #FABbloggers. At the end of the chat, they offered us the chance to win a collection (previously collection 2000) eyes uncovered nude palette. Well, with me being me and always up for a competition, I couldn't resist! The super pigmented shadows in the palette were just saying
"enter it, we'll look beautiful all year around and we're sooo versatile"
So I did and now I'm going to review it : )

This is a very wearable palette, the colours are all natural and all include a subtle shimmer/ highlighter. You could wear these colours day or night any season.

The box is very compact and securely closes with a magnet, making it perfect to just throw into your handbag if you want to top up your makeup throughout the day/ night.

The texture of each eyeshadow is very velvety making them perfect for building colour and blending. The pigmentation is impeccable and the staying power of the eyeshadow is also amazing.

There are 6 shadows in the box and they do have names which I like as I find it so uninspiring when an eyeshadow is called 'number 1'

The eyeshadows are called...
○ Ivory
 ○ Mink
 ○ Ochre
 ○ Golden Brown
 ○ Ember
  ○ Nutty

The palette retails for £3.99 from Boots which I think its a total bargain and I really recommend it : )

Thank you so much for reading lovelies,

FOTD With W7 Cosmetics!

Hello Daydreamers!

*This post contains PR samples, all opinions are my own as always :)

I wanted to try something new today and it occurred to me that I've never done an FOTD before. I completely underestimated how much work goes into these posts but never the less it was fun and I'll definitely be doing more if you lovely lot find it interesting.

The makeup used for this FOTD is from w7 cosmetics
and can be bought from their website (linked above)
They were so kind and sent me a box of goodies including a mascara, a lipstick, a concealer palette and 3 corrective concealers.

I wanted to have fairly natural makeup- clear skin and lengthy lashes and I think the bright summery pink lipstick brought the look together.
I think this look would be fab for festivals, it's super easy and doesn't require a lot of makeup or time. The eyeshadow I'm wearing is from a collection palette, a review of it will be up very soon!

Thick 'Em' Up Mascara
This is a plastic brush mascara. The brush is oval shaped and quite chunky. I really enjoyed using this. Using this made it easy to coat every lash and on the first coat my lashes had a long, fluttery appearance and on second coat, they became more full and dense. It's definitely build able and I will use it whenever I want a quick fix of black lashes.

♥ Camouflage Kit
This is a creamy concealer palette with 5 different shades. It includes a double-sided brush which is quite small and handy if you just want to target a specific blemish on your face.
With me having such a pale complexion, I thought that only one of the colours would be suitable however the concealers are quite sheer and silky making them easily bendable which meant I could use all 5 shades. These are all low- medium coverage and I find them useful to wear underneath my foundation on the most discolored areas of my face in order to provide a good starting base for the rest of my makeup. I actually used one as an eyeshadow primer today and it worked really well.

Fluorescent Kiss Lipstick in 'Summer Breeze'
This lipstick is without a doubt a dupe for Macs 'Candy Yum Yum' it is highly pigmented, I applied some lip balm before this in order to tone it down a little. The colour is definitely fluorescent when worn on its own. I like that this lipstick has blue undertones which help make the teeth look white and although it is bright, I find it quite wearable- especially for the summer time!

Go Corrective Concealers
These look very similar to the NYX 'concealer in a jar'
The purple one is used to cancel out yellow tones, the green one is to cancel out redness and the yellow concealer is used to cancel out dark under-eye circles.
I have to admit, I found it pretty disconcerting to be applying a range pastel colours onto my skin but once I blended and applied foundation, I could really see a difference. This created a good base for my foundation to go over the top of. Once my makeup was done, I could see that my skin appeared far more even toned and clear. This is probably not something I would do everyday due to the time it would add onto my makeup routine but for a special occasion/ on a bad skin day, I will be reaching for these.

So there we have it, my first FOTD and some little reviews.
Thank you for reading lovelies.

I'd love to know in the comments whether you've ever tried anything from the w7 makeup range  : )

A Summer Time Essential! AA Skincare Review

Hello Daydreamers!

*This post contains PR samples, all opinions are my own as always :)

How are you all?   Ready for the weekend?

Today I want to show you my new summer go-to makeup remover.

AA Skincare is the new range from Amphora Aromatics.
AA skincare combines essentials oils with classic natural ingredients such as Frankincense Rose, Almond Sandalwood and Seaweed Aloe.

Each product in the range is packed full of natural ingredients which I think is fabulous, so when AA skincare sent the Seaweed and Aloe eye gel for me to review, I was super excited to try it out!

As you can see, the packaging is really simplistic and neat, just looking at it makes me feel at peace- oooh look at me getting all zen!

So on first impressions, I was pleased to see that the eye gel is stored in a pump top bottle, this is great because the product is not going to get contaminated like it would do in a tub and this also means that the gel is kept safely preserved until you want to use it. The packaging and pump bottle feel really compact and well made. I can imagine this would make a lovely gift for someone special.

AA skincare say "Seaweed and Aloe combine to gently and safely remove make up and restore the sensitive skin around the eye area leaving you feeling soothed and refreshed" and I completely agree, the gel is very cool to the touch and I can imagine this would be very popular among people who work at a computer all day.

I personally have been really enjoying using this product when it's been a hot day and I just want to quickly remove my makeup and feel refreshed.

The gel is tea green in colour and very silky smooth. I only use about half a pump for both eyes and it works a treat, effectively removing my stubborn mascara. The gel melts mascara like a dream allowing it easily to lift away.
Although this gel contains lots of highly scented ingredients, it is actually very in-odorous which I love because I don't really like to put strongly scented products onto my face let alone my eyes. This is gentle yet highly effective.

I would definitely recommend this, especially as we move towards summer and want products to effectively cool and refresh us!

This eye gel retails for £6.96 from the AA Skincare Website.

Have you tried anything from the AA Skincare range yet?

Home Corners- Dressing Table

Hello Daydreamers!

I'm here again, doing another home corners post!
This time, I'm showing you lovely lot my dressing table which is where I keep all my favourite products/ items.
I spent some time dressing it up with fairy lights and pretty pastel items and I'm finally happy with how it all looks so here we go!

The rose fairy lights are from Wilkinsons and they come in handy when you want to dress an area up and add a little bit of colour.

So I keep most of my everyday beauty related products on top of my dressing table so that I can grab what I need quickly in the morning. I also like to display the pink clay time face mask because I love the design of the tub and it matches the colour scheme well.
I only noticed when I uploaded the photo that I had accidentally left my cupcake face mask out (it usually goes in the fridge) so that's not normally there. I so surprised that I didn't notice it, I even took a close up photo! The green cleanser is Superdrugs hot cloth cleanse which I've been enjoying lately and the batiste dry shampoo is a new addition to my collection, I just love the pretty floral pattern on the bottle!

I placed this perfume on the dressing table because I think the design of the bottle is sweet and the rose gold features are lovely.
I have been using it a whole lot more since it's so easy to just pick up and spritz and I've grown to love it all the more!

This is my everyday jewellery tray (I wrote a blog post about it a few months back) Looking at in now, it could do with a bit of a tidy hehe :P
Having this saves me from hauling down my jewellery box from the top of my wardrobe everytime I want to add some sparkle to an outfit.

Aaaaand finally, my lush bath bombs which I store in a vase.
I actually wrote a blog post about my lush storage too if you're interested it's here
I love lush bath bombs and I find it so much fun to choose a particular colour scheme when shopping in Lush. Also I think that Lush bath bombs are too pretty to not display. Storing them like this means that when you walk into the room, you get a light essence of Lush which I think is the most calming and uplifting experience ever : )

Thank you for reading, I hope found this interesting and maybe even got some ideas/ tips.

If you enjoyed this, there are 2 other posts in the Home Corners series...

4 Ingredient Cookies With Peanut Hottie!

*This post contains PR samples, all opinions are my own as always :)

Peanut Hottie is an up and coming brand who make Peanut butter flavour powder that can be used to make hot drinks, milkshakes and other fun recipes!

When Peanut Hottie* asked if I'd like to try some of their creation, I couldn't say no! I've always loved real peanut butter but rarely treat myself to it since it's so high in calories but Peanut Hottie is only 83 calories per drink (20g serving) so it seemed like a fab alternative.

They were so kind and sent lots of goodies as you can see :P

The product itself comes in powder form and just needs to be mixed with hot water to make a delicious alternative to tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate but I was surprised to find out that Peanut Hottie can be used in many different ways and there are lots of creations on the website e.g you could make a Peanut Hottie Milkshake or Peanut butter pancakes, there are even a few slimming world recipes out there!

Peanut Hottie suggested that I share my own creation with you lovely lot (bare in mind, I'm so bad at baking, I could burn a jelly) so I decided to try out some Peanut butter biscuits/ cookies and here is what I used...

60g Peanut Hottie
125g Margerine (or butter if you're feeling indulgent!)
200g plain flour
60g caster sugar

I also added the dark chocolate pieces to some of the cookies but this totally is optional.

All you need to do is...

Mix the butter and the sugar together until smooth.
Stir in the flour and Peanut Hottie to make a dough. Turn on to a work surface and gently roll out until the dough is 1cm/½in thick.
Cut into rounds, fingers or hearts like mine and place onto a baking tray.
Sprinkle with caster sugar and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes on 180 degrees Celsius or until pale golden-brown.
Set aside to cool on a wire rack.

Then simply enjoy with a cup of Peanut Hottie!

I also had a go at the milkshake since it's just Peanut Hottie mixed with milk and that was delicious too!

3 teaspoons of Peanut Hottie
200ml milk (or almond milk as I used)

Deeeellliiiiccciiooouuus!

Peanut Hottie can be bought from Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Booths for £2.99

I was sent Peanut Hottie free of charge for the purpose of a review. As always, all opinions are my own : )

Have you tried Peanut Hottie yet?

A Lovely Baker Days Letterbox Cake and GIVEAWAY!

Hello Daydreamers

*This post contains PR samples, all opinions are my own as always :)

I got something in the post today!
I always get excited when I have mail- even if it's just a boring old letter but today it wasn't just a boring old letter, It was a cake!

This cake was sent for the purpose of a review.

Now you might have already seen reviews and blog posts about the company Baker days because they have been sending 'letterbox cakes' to bloggers for the past few months.

Letterbox cakes are cakes that are made just the right size to fit through a letterbox- they arrive with your regular post and are definitely a fun alternative to bills!

Baker days offer many different cakes from birthday cakes to cupcakes to thank you cakes, they even offer a range of One Direction cakes! There really is something for everyone. If you're wanting something more personalised then you can literally design your own cake by choosing the picture, wording and cake flavour yourself.

For the actual cake part you can choose between vanilla sponge cake, chocolate chip cake, fruit cake, gluten free cake and dairy free cake! Yeeesh that's a whole load of choices!

So, I chose a vanilla sponge letterbox cake with my blog banner printed on white icing and I love how it turned out, I took so many pictures and was even reluctant to cut a slice from it- but I did anyway because the scent of lovely sweet cake took over and the guilt soon went away!

I'll be honest here, I had my doubts about the actual cake and thought this was more of a gimmick than a quality gift however the cake was totally delicious, fresh and sweet.
Letterbox cakes can also last for 2 weeks- (freshness wise) not that we managed to test this claim, ours was gone within days!

All in all, I think letterbox cakes are a fab concept and I'm definitely going to look into Baker Days other products due to the fab, friendly and quick service I received.

If you live in the UK and would like a chance to win a Baker Days letterbox cake of your choice then simply enter the Rafflecopter below : )

Mixed May Favourites!

Hello Beautiful Daydreamers!

It's a new month again and that means time for Favorites!
Here are my Favorite and most used items in the month of May...

Beauty Faves

So the first thing that I had to include in my May faves was the Batiste dry shampoo- in particular Batiste in the scent eden.
I've always loved using Batiste dry shampoo but when I was brunette, the powder would instantly show up and it would then take time to blend it in however, since going blonde I have found I'm able to use more. I bought eden because the print on the can matches my bedroom theme and I figured it would look pretty on my dressing table and I'll definitely re-purchase it because the scent is so fresh and Summery!

The next favorite is also hair-related.
I wanted a hairspray that would hold my heavy hair, I currently have a sweeping side fringe and no matter how much I thinned it out, it was still constantly falling into my face so when I read that the got2be sexy hairspray was a super strong hold, I was sold!
A little really does go a long way and it smells quite nice too. The can includes 300ml of product so will last for ages.

ANOTHER hair-related favourite is the superdrug hair chalk spray in pink. I underestimated how vibrant the colour of this would be. I have been enjoying just spraying a little in my fringe just for a bit of a hair change.

The next favorite is an unusual one, it's from Denmark. My older brother brought it back for me as a souvenir. It's a cleansing oil which is used in a similar way to a hot cloth cleanser- apply to damp skin, massage it in then wipe off with a hot muslin cloth. This oil hydrates my dry skin and removes every last ounce of makeup and I love it!

Ciate in strawberry milkshake is just a really pretty spring/ summer colour. It goes on really well, lasts 3-4 days before chipping and goes with any outfit.

Fashion Faves

I bought this Floral skater skirt from H and M earlier in the month.
It's super versatile, comfy and can be worn as a high waisted skirt or just a regular 'on the hips skirt'. I've been loving it so much that I just had to include it in my May favourites!
Oh, and it only cost me £7.99 - bargain!

Another fashion fave of May is this hot air balloon necklace. I feel like this will be a marmite item- people will either love it or hate it. I had pinned this a while back on my pinterest wish list board thinking it was quirky and cute.
When  I stumbled across it on amazon, I couldn't not buy it for £1.50 with free postage. A few reviews said it was quite flimsy so I was expecting it to fall apart pretty quickly, however it feels sturdy and even has a little bit of weight to it.
I currently have it on display my dressing table mirror and I think its sweet.

  Random Fave

I instagramed a picture of this bath bomb, it's the Tisty Tosty bath bomb from Lush. I just love it. I always assumed it was a small bath bomb (I don't know why?!) as I had only seen it on the lush website and I felt it was a little pricey however after seeing it in store, I decided to give it a whirl and it's lovely! When I read about the ingredients in this, I was surprised as there are so many flower scents involved but to me it just smells fresh and clean. I have bought a few of these and they look super cute scattered across my dressing table- also, my room smells gorgeous with these around!

Have you wrote a May Favorite post or just been loving a product in the month of May?
Let me know in a comment below, I love reading about faves!
